Demanding Good(s)

A reference guide to responsible shopping.

Halfsies is a social initiative offering a choice to restaurant-goers that provides a healthier meal portion, reduces food waste and supports the fight against hunger.”

Gearing up for a pilot launch this year in Austin, Texas and New York City.  Participating restaurants will display the “go Halfsies” symbol near selected entrees. If the patron decides to “go Halfsies”, they will receive a half portion of that meal- at no reduced cost. Paying full price for this option means that the remaining cost for the meal will be donated to fight hunger locally and globally.

Not only is this a great way to have your restaurant lifestyle support a social cause, but you will heat healthier and waste less food.

Fight Hunger. Fight Obesity. Reduce Waste.  All at the same time.

Keep an eye out for the Halfsies option – and ask your local Austin or New York restaurant to get involved!
